In March of 2026, Amistad celebrated an incredible milestone, 50 years of service, resilience, and impact. For half a century, we have weathered storms, overcome challenges, and continued to rise stronger each time. Our history is powerful. Our mission is enduring. And our future is bright because of community partners, sponsors, dedicated staff, and board members.
As we prepare to celebrate our 50th birthday, we would like to personally invite you to join us in celebrating this incredible milestone. On May 30th, Amistad will celebrate its history during the annual Lucy G. Acosta Humanitarian Awards, alongside local LULAC councils. As an integral part of our history, we felt that our 50th birthday was the perfect occasion to pay homage to our roots.
