FEBRUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER
Happy Lunar New Year!
The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is celebrated on the new moon following the Winter Solstice. As we enter the year of the tiger, we hope you see new beginnings on the horizon for you and your loved ones. 2022 will be a year of making big changes, taking risks, and finding enthusiasm again. The traditional new year might have been a month ago, but we encourage you to see the Lunar New Year as an opportunity to reflect on the resolutions we made a month ago. Have you stayed on track? Do you need more direction? What actions do you need to take to achieve your goals? After all, the achievement of your goals lays with our commitment and our actions.
In the spirit if Black History Month, we at Amistad have always believed that not some, but ALL individuals should be treated equally with dignity and respect. It is because of this belief that this agency was created and continues to serve this community. Not only is February a time for reflection, but it is a time of acceptance through love and friendship. Amistad encourages you to embrace diversity and culture this month. Try seeing situations from a different perspective with an open heart and open mind. Through these actions we can continue to spread the culture of love and acceptance not only during Black History Month, but every month of the year.
